Made Local Magazine is a publication dedicated to the people, places and ideas shaping life in Sonoma County.
Published quarterly in print with new weekly stories online, the magazine blends long-form features, profiles, interviews, photo essays, conversations, and cultural commentary with practical guides and curated recommendations.
We’ve also added a weekly podcast (listen here, or on apple or spotify) and a weekly newsletter! Sign up here for the latest stories, podcast episodes and events.
Through thoughtful storytelling, exquisite photography and a deep appreciation for regional culture, Made Local Magazine explores the intersection of food, drink, agriculture, business, arts and community as experienced here.
Made Local Magazine was originally created as a publication of the Sonoma County GO LOCAL Cooperative, 2008-2026. During the Summer of 2026, Made Local Magazine Sonoma Co. was relaunched by alumni contributors as an imprint of the Petaluma story studio FMRL LLC.
At its core, Made Local Magazine is about the makers—the farmers, chefs, vintners, artists, entrepreneurs, musicians, craftspeople and independent thinkers who give Northern California its distinct flavor and identity. We believe local culture is not merely consumed; it’s cultivated through relationships, creativity and shared experience.
