Olive Me: Gold Ridge Organic Farms’ New Olive Oil Collection Celebrates Sonoma

,

There are pantry staples, and then there are your everyday go-to’s that you keep within easy reach on the kitchen counter.

Gold Ridge Organic Farms’ new With Love From Sonoma County collection are the latter. The award-winning organic extra virgin olive oils are paired with original label art inspired by the colors and character of the farm. I had the pleasure of sampling all eight of them last week at the Sebastopol olive ranch where they’re made from pit to press.

The 2026 Collection

The new collection features four organic extra virgin olive oil blends, each with its own personality. The olives are milled on-site within hours of harvest in the farm’s on-site olive press—an Italian-made Rapanelli, a leader in state-of-the-art olive oil extraction equipment.

The four signature blends include the herbaceous Tuscan Blend (great for dipping a slice of Della Fattoria’s Meyer Lemon Rosemary bread), a peppery Picholine Blend which chefs love, the Spanish-inspired Arbequina Blend (bright with green fruit notes for summer dishes), and the Minerva Blend (my favorite!) that shines as an oil perfect over grilled vegetables, roasted meats, or fresh hummus.

Equally delicious are their four limited-edition co-milled citrus olive oils, made by crushing whole organic citrus alongside freshly harvested olives. Meyer Lemon, Mandarin-Kumquat, Yuzu, and Makrut Lime each contribute fragrant essential oils, making versatile finishing oils that brighten everything from grilled fish and salads to soups, ramen, and Southeast Asian dishes. The night of the tasting, I drizzled the Meyer Lemon oil over a zucchini pizza fresh out of the oven—perfetta.

The Sebastopol farm has spent more than 25 years cultivating a reputation for exceptional estate-grown olive oils. Founded in 2000 by farmer Brooke Hazen, the 88-acre certified organic farm grows olives, heirloom apples, and citrus in a microclimate that creates the ideal conditions for richly flavored fruit.

More than 13,000 organic olive trees representing over 20 Italian, Spanish, and French cultivars are harvested and milled each fall The rapid (within hours!) milling process preserves their freshness, vibrant flavor, and the antioxidants that distinguish premium extra virgin olive oil.

Each bottle has the same attention to detail as the oils they contain. The label features pastel illustrations by Sonoma County artist Teri Sloat, expanding on her mural inside the Gold Ridge tasting room. The colorful bottles, designed in collaboration with Sloat’s daughter, Carrie Dufour, and the team at Truly Creative, reflect the intersection of farming, fine art, and everyday ritual—Sonoma County style.

The collection has already received impressive recognition. Gold Ridge’s Tuscan Blend and Meyer Lemon Olive Oil both won the 2026 Good Food Awards, joining numerous honors from the California Olive Oil Council, the New York International Olive Oil Competition, the California State Fair, and the Sonoma County Harvest Fair.

For home cooks, the collection of oils complements the fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, wines, and other seasonal ingredients that define Sonoma County cooking. Shop at their web store or make a reservation to go out to the farm for a tasting or tour!
